About Brianplant
A Brief History
Brianplant was established in 1984 by Brian Thornley to provide operational plant such as JCB 3CX excavators, tipper lorries and general contractor's plant to support the existing building business. External customers were also catered for including local contractors and developers, as well as the Gas Board and local authorities.
In 1994, Brian retired and Clive joined the business. Clive is a Chartered Civil Engineer and spent 17 years after graduation in the construction industry nationally before joining Brianplant. The business started to diversify into sub-contract earthworks, demolition, and site clearance.
Simon Beveridge joined the business in 1997 and the recycling and merchanting of aggregates and virgin aggregate quarries were developed to provide a more complete service to contractors and developers.
Finally the most recent development has been the skip hire and waste management business with a licensed Waste Transfer Station in Grimsby managed by Rob Mason.
Brianplant prides itself in operating a professional business that genuinely cares for its customers, the environment and the safety and welfare of its staff. Many of our operators have been with Brianplant for many years, including our Office Manager Christine Emmerson who has been with us since 1984.
